Ozone, sometimes known as 'activated oxygen', is probably the most powerful and effective natural cleaning agent known to man. It reproduces the freshness of the outdoors by destroying the bacteria that causes odour. And because ozone quickly and safely reverts back to oxygen it leaves behind no harmful residues.
In nature ozone is produced by the action of high energy discharges in lightning on oxygen in the atmosphere. Airdoc recreates this natural process. A little background on Ozone;
Ozone is basically charged oxygen (O3) sometimes called activated oxygen, it contains three atoms of oxygen instead of the normal 2 found in the air we breathe. Ozone occurs naturally during thunderstorms, it is also produced by electrical equipment such as motors / laser printers. Ozone is very effective at removing odour due to the additional oxygen molecule, which is unstable and 'looking' to attack the molecules in the odours. As these reactions occur the ozone naturally reverts back to oxygen. This will happen within a room naturally, as the ozone is unstable, it means that the ozone levels will not simply build and build within a room. The process that gives rise to ozone within the Airdoc is called Corona discharge.
